Dr. Tabia Pope is the Founding Chair, President & CEO of Head to Speech Incorporated, the leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educational, scientific and charitable initiatives, which address the impact that post-concussion syndrome has on athletes' speech-language, hearing and cognitive-communication outcomes. Dr. Pope is a Health Communication Specialist, public speaker, continuing education Instructor, and Host of the On-the-Neuro Podcast. She curates courses, programs, and content across multimedia platforms utilizing her background ranging from neurogenic disorders and neuropsychology to interprofessional education and collaborative practices and contemporary professional issues and policies in sports concussion management. She enjoys providing health communications training, personal branding development, and social marketing strategies to brand ambassadors interested in neuro topics specifically related to brain injury, sports concussion recovery, and overall brain health. Dr. Pope has also served as an Adjunct Professor and Director of Rehabilitation, in addition to having research, teaching and clinical supervisory experiences in adult neurogenic disorders, specifically in traumatic brain injury and sports concussion management. Her experience spans across various inpatient and outpatient settings, such as a collegiate academic concussion management research program including interprofessional collaborative practices and cognitive-communication interventions, a neurorestorative program, acute-care hospital, and skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers.
